Planning your wedding should be fun. We are here to help you through every decision, and between the team here at Limepark and our great family of suppliers we can take care of every detail.
Once you have joined us at Limepark we will give you access to your Wedding Planning Portal with all the details, files and folders in one place so we can be sure your day will run without a hitch.
Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes, we are covered for all incidents.

What is our maximum number of guests throughout day?

The venue fits 70 guests comfortably. The maximum number of guests is 90.

Are we allowed additional evening guests?

Unfortunately 90 guests is the maximum day and night.

Car Parking

Our car park can hold a maximum of 30 cars. If this is not sufficient you will need to organise a bus or taxis.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, most of the public buildings have ground floor access including a disabled toilet in the Barn. The only exception being the games Room/Bar Area which has access through the kitchen. Poet’s Corner has full disabled access, the ideal cottage for someone with restricted mobility.  

Accommodation

We have seven self-catering cottages. Holding a total of 22 guests. All cottages must be booked for the night of your wedding. Additional nights may be possible if the calendar is available.
We welcome house-trained dogs, but we ask for dogs to not be left unattended. (£10 per dog per stay)

Little Pigs House: One Bedroom (1 double)
Neds Loft: One Bedroom (1 double or 2 singles)
Blacksmiths Cottage: One Bedroom (1 double or 2 singles)
Long Barn: Two Bedrooms (2 Doubles or 4 Singles)
Poets Corner: Two Bedrooms (2 Doubles or 4 Singles +Full disabled access)
Dark Horse House: Three Bedrooms (3 Doubles or 6 Singles)

The cottages can only sleep their recommended number of guests and we strictly ask for no unexpected guests to stay in the cottages. Guests must not move crockery, glasses, chairs or anything from their designated cottage.

What is arrival and departure time for the cottages?

Guests are generally welcome to arrive after 3pm on the day of arrival and depart up to 10am. Access to the Venue areas is from 8am on the day of your wedding arrange this with a member of Limepark staff.   

Please note that this may change depending on the individual situation and will be agreed upon in the Terms and Conditions.

How many tables/chairs are there in the barn?

In total we have nine tables (8 smaller ones and the top table). Each table can hold a maximum of 10 guests however sitting comfortably each table can hold 8 guests. The small tables are 270cm X 88cm. The top table is 540cm X 66cm.

We have 90 hand painted chairs with individually made cushions.

Do you supply high chairs?

Yes we have two high chairs, which you are welcome to use.

Will there be an events-coordinator on the day?

We will be available all through the day, however we do suggest allocating roles amongst your wedding party to welcome guests on arrival, etc.

Do you supply table clothes?

We do not supply table clothes, but you are welcome to bring your own or organise this through one of our lovely caterers.

Do you supply plates, crockery and cutlery?

No, this will be organised through your caterer.

How many electrical sockets are there?

We have plenty of sockets. 13 low level sockets inside the barn and 8 sockets on the Belfast truss. On the croquet lawn we have 5 double sockets, and one socket in the stone walled flower bed.

Do you supply a microphone and speakers for speeches?

Yes, we can supply a mic and sound system. The cost of this will be in your wedding pack.

Are there limitations when decorating the barn?

We use radiant panel heaters, which are attached to the Belfast Trusses, we ask for décor to be kept 1 metre away from the heaters and sprayed with fire retardant spray.

You can decide to not use the heating in which case there are no limitations. Fireworks, balloons and Chinese lanterns are not allowed. Confetti must be biodegradable and only used inside or on grass. Open candles must be placed safely and candle wax must be contained. We do ask you to run your ideas past a member of Limepark staff before you begin and we expect the venue to be left as it was found. Please check that the use of sticky tape, pins etc doesn’t damage the furniture or venue features.

Setup for the evening entertainment?

There are two main options:

1. After dinner it will take us about an hour to clean up the barn and move the tables to the edge of the room, this will create enough space for a dance floor area in the middle of the Barn. During this time your guests are welcome to mingle in the Games Room and the Art Gallery. If you are planning on having a band or a DJ they are welcome to set up during this time.

2. If your wedding is around 50 guests, and you are happy to not use the top table, there is enough space for a small dance floor area without moving any tables. This would mean that there is no waiting after dinner for your evening entertainment to begin.

Do I need to supply my own cake stand and knife?

You are more than welcome to use our ‘tree trunk’ cake stand and our handmade knife, which was created, in our Forge on site. Or you are welcome to bring your own.

What time does the music stop and the Barn and Art Gallery close? Is there an option to pay for an extension?

The Venue closes at 12am. An extension to this time can be added at a cost. Please speak to Limepark about this for more information. If no extensions is added we ask all non-resident guests to leave the Limepark by 12.30am.

Who is in charge of cutting the cake?

This will be arranged between you and your caterer.

Do I need to appoint a master of ceremonies?

You are more than welcome to hire a Master of ceremonies or organise for the Catering manager to do this.
